Site Labourer
Job Description
The Site Labourer is an entry-level position that assists the site personnel. This role travels across the country to different client sites and reports to the on-site CT&V Project Manager or Superintendent for that site. This full-time role, the shift schedule will change depending on our client (ie: 10 to 12 hours/day, 14-7, etc.). The Site Labourer must meet all site requirements before being deployed to the site.
Job Duties:
- Ensure housekeeping is kept up daily (garbage, recycling, cord management, shovel/sweep walkways/etc.).
- Load and unload tool crib and materials.
- Receiving items onsite.
- Stage gear for shipments.
- Operate site vehicles (telehandler, zoom boom, etc.).
- Operate grinder and power tools.
- Complete pre-use safety paperwork, daily safety paperwork required and contribute to toolbox meetings.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds (eg: welding machines, hose, wire, etc.).
- Ensuring tools/machines are put back in the tool crib at the end of the shift or no longer required.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bobcat, telehandler and/or zoom boom experience, an asset.
- WHMIS2015
- Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Team attitude.
- Ability to work in conditions of extreme cold or heat.
- Understanding of how to use small tools and power tools.
- Good verbal communication skills.
