Established in 2004, Canadian Tank & Vessel provides experience in API 650 and API 653 services in above ground tank construction and repair, general structural steel and pressure vessel manufacturing and repair. We provide services to the Oil and Gas, Mining, Chemical and Forestry industries, specializing in design, construction, maintenance, and repair in the tank industry.

Canadian Tank & Vessel requires a Tank Design & Repair Engineer to join our construction team and contribute to the continued growth of the company.

Reporting to senior management, this position involves estimating industrial construction projects ranging in size from $500,000 to multi-million-dollar projects.

- Mechanical or Structural Professional Engineer proficient in API 650, 620, 653 and
ASME Sec VIII Div. 1 and related recommended practices
- API 653 certification is an asset
- Individual with AutoCAD experience to generate 2-D drawings
- Able to generate weld maps, ITPs and assist Quality team in developing technical
procedures
- Coordinate with field teams to resolve technical issues
- Familiar with generic requirements of OSHA, CSA, and National Building Codes of
Canada
- Flexible to travel to project sites
- Coordinate and attend internal/external meetings
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools – Excel, MS project, etc.
- Technical diploma holder with 5 years industry experience or bachelor’s degree in
engineering with 3 years of minimum experience, preferably in tank designing and
construction
